Casa Monti HOTEL

Via Panisperna, 210, 00184 Roma RM, Italy

Casa Monti Hotel, located just down the street from the Colosseum, is my favorite boutique hotel in all of Rome. It has that perfect balance of charm and modern design that makes it feel both local and luxurious.

Various white stone lion head sculptures and heraldic shields displayed on a red wall.
A cozy indoor scene of a hotel or restaurant lobby with wooden flooring, an arched doorway, and a bar in the background with a person standing behind it. The decor features patterned wallpaper, a large decorative lamp, and a painting.

Opened in 2024, Casa Monti is an artistic masterpiece. It has 26 rooms and 10 suites, each designed with its own character and charm. The hotel features the Casa Monti Restaurant, which has a gorgeous outdoor patio, one of the most beautiful bars in Rome, and of course, a stunning rooftop overlooking bella Roma.

CASA MONTI BAR

Across from reception, you will find one of the most stunning bars in Rome. It glows a warm amber at night and feels like the kind of place made for quiet, late-night conversations with friends or that special someone.

Two young people, a man and a woman, taking a mirror selfie in a warmly lit, elegant indoor setting with wooden floors and high ceilings.
Multiple shelves of liquor bottles behind glass in a bar or liquor store, viewed from below through a glass ceiling with reflections and some lighting.

My favorite feature is not only the animal- patterned chairs that line the bar and lounge area, but also the mirrored ceiling panels above. They open up the space beautifully, reflecting the light and creating that golden, cozy atmosphere that makes Casa Monti feel truly special.

Night view from a balcony showing outdoor seating with a person sitting, plants along the railing, and city lights in the distance.

CASA MONTI ROOFTOP

A bartender standing behind a bar counter with a variety of bottles and glasses, in front of a decorative wall with a mural of trees, mountains, and flying birds.

Take the elevator to the top floor and you are greeted by another elegant bar with a relaxed lounge area. To your left, the rooftop opens up to a sweeping view of Rome.

What I love about the rooftop is how small and intimate it actually is, making it perfect for an private aperitivo overlooking Rome.

Elegant table setting with assorted drinks and appetizers, including cheese, cured meats, nuts, olives, and a burrata cheese surrounded by cherry tomatoes, in a dimly lit restaurant.
A variety of cocktails on a table, including a cocktail with an orange slice garnish, a coffee-flavored drink with coffee bean decorations, a drink with a red fern leaf design, and two other frothy beverages.

We ordered nearly the entire menu. My standout favorites were the charcuterie board and the Supplì alla Picchiapò (a Roman classic made with beef, tomato, and pepper).

My favorite drinks were the Nomad Velvet Sour made with vodka infused with mango chutney, pino mugo, yuzu, lime juice, lemongrass syrup, and Stillabunt foamer, and of course, my go-to espresso martini. That one is always a given.
