NHOW ROMa HOTEL
Corso d'Italia 1, 00198 Rome, Italy.
Bold. Playful. Intentional.
nhow, pronounced “now,” is a hotel like no other, and I genuinely mean that. It is unapologetically spirited, with a personality that is playful yet intentional. I have never been to a hotel where there are so many small details everywhere you look. Every corner, from the entrance to your room, makes you do a double take.
Located in Rome, Italy, nhow Roma opened in 2025 and features 260 rooms, each uniquely designed to reflect the hotel’s bold and creative ethos. Lined with vibrant colors, thoughtful design touches, and unexpected details at every turn, it is a space where curiosity thrives. From the lobby to the karaoke elevator, every corner is curated for guests who appreciate design, energy, and a stay that feels anything but ordinary.
background
(Above) An artistic reimagining of Rome’s iconic Bocca della Verità (Mouth of Truth), famously featured in films such as the 1953 classic “Roman Holiday”.
The hotel’s identity balances retro nostalgia with futuristic design,a bold contrast to the ancient ruins just outside. A refreshing pause from Rome’s past, without ever letting you forget where you are.
the suite
I had the pleasure of staying in the Imperial Suite Bar & Beyond at nhow Roma, a space designed for both comfort and gathering. The suite features a king-sized bed, a panoramic terrace overlooking Villa Borghese, a private bar and wine cellar, and a lounge area with a striking Bang & Olufsen speaker. Two rain showers with ETRO toiletries, alongside thoughtful in-room details and surprises, completing the experience.
(Above) Upon entry, we were welcomed with a personalized note and a selection of gifts kindly provided by the hotel, a thoughtful touch that immediately set the tone for our stay.
The terrace
The terrace is easily one of the most memorable parts of the suite. Overlooking Villa Borghese, it offers a rare sense of calm, where the sounds of Rome feel present but never overwhelming. During the day (seen above), you watch life unfold in the park below. At night, the space shifts completely, illuminated by nhow’s signature attention to detail. Sculptural elements, like the iconic lip ashtray, feel playful yet chic, giving the terrace a clear sense of intention.
the suite bar
The private bar quickly became the focal point of the suite. Before we even arrived, the team reached out to ask about my favorite music and drink, a level of consideration that set the tone for the stay. At sunset, they arranged an aperitivo with friends, complete with a beautifully prepared spread of cheeses, cured meats, and small bites. A bartender joined us to prepare cocktails on the spot and remained available throughout the evening, turning the space into something closer to a private gathering than a hotel experience. Beyond the service, the staff were generous with their time, sharing the history behind an espresso martini and even showing us how to make one ourselves.
The amenities
nhow’s room service offers a wide variety of dishes, including Amatriciana, one of Rome’s most iconic plates, and easily one of the best I’ve had in the city.
LUDO features Italian cuisine and signature cocktails, set within chic velvet interiors that glow beautifully after dark.
(Officially opening February 12th 2026!)
Breakfast is offered as an optional experience, with an expansive buffet blending Italian and American classics, fresh pastries, and beautifully presented selections.
The game room offers a playful escape for both kids and adults, one we admittedly enjoyed a little too much.
A hidden gem within the hotel is its karaoke elevator, an unexpected, high-energy detail complete with Italian classics.
The gym is fully equipped with modern machines, making it the perfect reset after a day of eating pasta in Rome.
nhow Roma is unlike any other hotel in the city. Bold and artistic, it reimagines what a stay in Rome can feel like, pairing a standout location with thoughtfully designed spaces and amenities suited to every age. As someone living in Rome, it offered a rare perspective on the city, an escape from its intensity without ever feeling removed from it. A place that balances creativity, comfort, and character, nhow Roma feels less like a hotel and more like an experience woven into the city itself.
